last week on Monday we made Greenhouse we needed lots of things. One of the things were... tissue paper and cotton balls. We needed a plastic bag and pinto beans. And we put 6 beans in the plastic bag .  I have been watching it grow every day.

I learnt birds go in a v shape that is called migration.

Add number with coins

I was learning to add dollar coins and cent coins together.  If they were cents then they would be a c behind them and if they were a dollar coin they wood have a $. It was easy because of the writing on the coin.

Contractioin

I was learning about contraction.  It was easy to write the words. If there is I am and if you want to say it quicker you say I'm. The apostrophe is for the missing letters.

I was learning to use speech marks.  It was easy to put the speech marks in place. It was tricky to
find the sentences. 

Speed and agility

On this Tuesday it was YouthTown. I had lots of fun and we played two games and those two games were... cat and mouse and speed and agility how you play cat and mouse is the mice and the cat have their own line the mice has to try to run away from the cat.  And our sports teachers names were Nina, Keran.

Today we are making a nest for are baby gosling. I did a sketch and I made the nest from twigs and leaves outside.

This week is Conservation week, we are learning to care and protect our bird's in NZ. The house sparrow live's everywhere but not the high mountain's. It is a introduced bird.

Maori language week

This term we had maori language week. We learnt how to say maori numbers up to twenty.

Time

I was learning about time. I knew to read the title they gave me and choose the right word. Tomorrow, before, yesterday. It was easy for me because I already know how to do it.

I was exited about the cross country event but after the cross country I was hot and tired.

I was learning to think about simple inferences. I learnt how to tell what a persons job is. I looked for clues. I found it in the middle a little bit easy and tricky.

I was learning to count use 100s 10s and 1s. I know how to find the different ones. It was easy to do the 10s and 1s.

We wash our hands because we might spread germs around.We have to wash our hands because if you touch a thing and  then another person touches the thing Then the germs will keep on spreading.




I was learning to write an explanation. I know to use my ideas from the plan. It was easy to think of ideas about each topic.

I was learning to make predictions. I know to use pictures and information. It was easy.

Today was very cool.I was baking some ANZAC BISCUITS and we needed flour and lots more ingredients. It was very oily or slimey we had to make it in a circle and push the fork on the circle.

I was learning to do my bonds to 20. I can do numbers over 10. It was tricky to find the big numbers.

I was learning to talk about the plot in the story. I can talk about the things that happened. It was tricky to talk about the problem

Spelling reflection:
I was learning to write words with short vowel sound. I know how to

listen for the short ' a' sounds.  It was easy to do the 'a' sound.

Water skills: kicking

My reflection:

I  have  been learning to kick with my  legs when my hands are on the bar. I think I need more practice.
